A space to reconnect with your body

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on therapy rooted in the understanding that the body functions as a connected whole. Blending anatomy, movement science, and therapeutic touch, it assesses and treats the body’s structure – with the aim of improving function, relieving discomfort, and supporting overall wellbeing.
Rather than addressing symptoms, osteopathy seeks to understand the why behind them – helping your body move, feel, and function at its best.

How Can Osteopathy Help You?

Osteopathy treats more than just isolated symptoms – it looks at how the whole body moves, functions, and responds to daily life. Whether you’re dealing with joint or muscle pain, postural strain, headaches, digestive tension, the physical effects of stress, or the changes that come with pregnancy, osteopathy works by easing restrictions, improving circulation, and calming the nervous system.
By restoring healthy movement and balance between the body’s systems, treatment supports your body’s natural ability to regulate itself, recover, and feel well again.
Each session is tailored to you – because true healing happens when the whole person is considered, not just the part that hurts.

What to expect

Your first session begins with a conversation – we’ll explore your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and anything else that may be affecting how you feel in your body.
This is followed by a physical assessment, which may include observing posture, movement, and testing areas of tension, restriction, or sensitivity.
Treatment may include gentle hands-on techniques such as soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, or rhythmic movements to release tension and improve mobility. Everything is adapted to your comfort and needs on the day.
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what’s going on, and – if helpful, some movement tips or exercises to support your recovery between sessions.

About the way I work

My approach to osteopathy is rooted in movement, mindfulness, and whole-person care. With over 15 years’ experience in ballet, Pilates, and bodywork, I bring to my osteopathic practice a deep understanding of posture, alignment, and the subtle ways stress can show up in the body.
Each session is shaped around your individual needs – whether you’re seeking relief from pain, support for your body’s adaptability and natural alignment, or simply a space to reconnect with yourself.
My aim is to offer care that feels both grounded and empowering – where you’re truly seen, heard, and supported.

FAQs

What to Wear
Please wear something comfortable like leggings, shorts and sports bra. Note that I may ask you to remove a layer so I can better observe how your body moves.

What to Bring
If you have them, bring any relevant medical notes and scans (e.g. X-rays, MRIs, CTs), and also details of any prescribed and over-the-counter medications you take.

Is osteopathy safe during pregnancy and postnatally?
Yes. Osteopathy can gently support your body through the physical and hormonal changes of pregnancy and after birth. Treatment is always adapted to your stage and comfort, helping to ease common strains like back pain, pelvic tension, and postural changes.

How often will I need treatment?
It depends on your needs and goals. Some people notice changes after one session, while others benefit from a short course or occasional top-ups. We’ll review progress together and adjust as needed — treatment plans are always a shared and ongoing conversation.

Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed — please book in directly.

Can I claim on my health insurance?
No. I do not currently work with any private insurers, so all sessions need to be self-funded.

Cancellation Policy
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed will be charged in full. Please note that arriving late may shorten your treatment time.
